We are looking for experienced transaction services candidates to join us at a variety of levels from Experienced Senior Analyst up to Director across Australia - Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane.

About the team
Our M&A Transaction Services team works closely with our clients through the M&A lifecycle to deliver due diligence information, financial analytics, bid defence and support, advice on transaction related accounting and tax matters and reviewing sale and purchase agreements.
Our collaborative team turns clients’ frustration into assurance with sophisticated, technology-enhanced and tailored M&A advice.
We often work within a wider deal team which accesses the firm's vast range of specialist expertise including commercial and operational due diligence, sale and purchase agreement negotiation, real estate, treasury, pensions, modelling, fund placement, merger integration, IT and business intelligence to deliver multi-disciplinary insights to our clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Our M&A team are always looking for ways to innovate and this includes embedding data, analytics and insight into our diligence processes through our global cutting edge data analytics platform, iDeal, which enables us to provide deeper insights into the businesses involved in any transaction and add value beyond the core due diligence advice.
What will your typical day look like?
This role will also provide the opportunity to:
- Oversee the delivery of financial due diligence engagements, as well as preparation of data-centric analysis and dashboards;
- Partner with leading Australian private and listed corporates, global enterprises, private equity firms and Government departments to execute complex transactions;
- Provide expert guidance to our clients on compliance with stock exchange listing rules and relevant legislation to maintain
- Assist with equity and debt management, securities, and tax planning issues to help clients informed financial decisions.
- Mentor teams on a variety of M&A transactions, support and coach a team of talented M&A practitioners;
- Conduct audits and investigations and prepare financial statements and reports for management, shareholders, and statutory bodies to ensure transparency and accuracy in our financial reporting.
- Develop a deep understanding of businesses through analysis of historical trading, quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, net debt, capital expenditure, forecasts and underlying assumptions and drivers of business performance;
- Work directly with our experienced Partners & Directors in more complex areas of the transaction with direct exposure to sale agreements;
- Evaluate the cost-effectiveness and risks of our clients’ operational processes, activities, policies, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist the Partners with business development, proposals and client events;

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are an ambitious and talented accounting / finance professional with:
- Experience in performing financial due diligence assignments in a transaction environment, or 4+ years External Audit experience
- Structured thinking style with excellent analytical and financial skills to support complex transactions
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Strong knowledge of the M&A process / transaction lifecycle / deal process and various parties within it
- Experience with finance systems and delivering on finance-related projects
- Track record of building trusted and lasting relationship with clients
- Ability to provide insight and deep expertise in a key functional or industry domain and translate it into business opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present clearly in presentation or pitches including senior level stakeholders
- Ability to develop, coach and motivate junior members of the team
- Ideally a post graduate qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, CFA, MBA or Master’s in Applied Finance)

The minimum salary requirement for this role is $90,000 inclusive of the minimum superannuation contribution.
